See the splendor of the fjords with fewer crowds on this off-season escorted tour of Norway. You’ll arrive in Oslo to begin a 6-day adventure into some of the world’s most beautiful and mysterious landscapes. Start with a guided sightseeing tour of Oslo that features the National Theater—home of Ibsen’s plays, the unique Storting building, which houses the Parliament, as well as the Royal Palace. Stroll through the famed Frogner Park with the remarkable Norwegian sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. Visit the venue of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony at City Hall. From Oslo, you’ll drive northwest through Hallingdal—a large valley, rich in the traditions of iron production, cattle trade, folk art, music, and dance. You’ll pass through the world’s longest road tunnel to Aurland on your way to the beautiful village of Flåm, situated at the head of Aurlandsfjord. Your stay in Flåm includes a boat ride on the spectacular Naeroyfjord—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue on to Bergen, the “City of Seven Mountains,” where you’ll take a drive to see Bergenhus Fortress, Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, Bergen’s harbor, and the famous fish market. Take a step back in time through the cobblestone streets lined by colorful wooden houses that are quintessentially Norwegian. Celebrate the stunning natural beauty of Norway, its art and cultural history with a farewell dinner.

Day 1 Arrive in Oslo, Norway
Welcome to Oslo, ancient capital of Norway! At 6 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome dinner at your hotel.
Day 2 Oslo
Today gives you a proper introduction to Oslo, the country’s hub of trade and industry. Sightseeing with a Local Guide features the National Theater, considered the home for Ibsen’s plays; the unique Storting building, seat of Parliament; and the Royal Palace, residence of Norwegian monarchs since 1849. Stroll through magnificent FROGNER PARK with Gustav Vigeland’s extraordinary sculptures; and visit the CITY HALL, where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is held each year. Afterwards, an optional excursion is available to see relics of Norway’s glorious seafaring past—including 1,000-year-old Viking ships!
Day 3 Oslo—Gol—Flam
Depart the city and drive northwest through Hallingdal, a large valley with rich traditions in iron production, cattle trade, and traditional folk art, music, and dance. Stop in Gol for a visit, before traveling through the world’s longest road tunnel (15 miles) to Aurland. Arrive in the picturesque village of Flåm, situated at the head of Aurlandsfjord.
Day 4 Flam—Naeroyfjord—Bergen
Highlight this morning is a breathtaking BOAT ride on the famous Nærøyfjord, the best known branch of the Sognefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and also rated by the National Geographic Society as the world’s number one natural heritage site. In Gudvangen, board your coach and travel via Voss to Bergen, “City of Seven Mountains.” An orientation drive features the main sights: the Bergenhus Fortress with its medieval Håkon’s Hall and Rosenkrantz Tower, the charming Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the harbor; and the famous Fish Market. This evening, why not sample regional dishes at a traditional restaurant?
Day 5 Bergen
Follow your Local Guide through Bryggen: step back in time as you walk along narrow, cobblestone alleyways past colorful wooden houses. Also see the 12th-century St. Mary’s Church, where Hanseatic merchants attended religious services until the 1870s. Tonight, celebrate the success of your unforgettable journey with a farewell dinner at your hotel.
Day 6 Bergen
Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning.
